Rules & Regulations

Clear policies that ensure a safe, disciplined and productive learning environment for all.

All students are required to read and comply with these rules. Violation may lead to disciplinary action. The complete Student Handbook (below) has the full guidelines.

Attendance Policy

Minimum 75% attendance mandatory in every subject
Students below 75% are detained and not eligible to appear in university exams
Medical or emergency leave must be submitted in writing with supporting documents
Attendance is tracked digitally and published on the student portal
Condonation up to 10% may be granted by the Principal in exceptional cases

Code of Conduct

Students must wear ID cards at all times within campus
Dress code: formal attire on Monday and during examinations
Mobile phones must be on silent mode inside classrooms and labs
Respectful behaviour towards faculty, staff and fellow students is mandatory
Any form of discrimination, harassment or ragging is strictly prohibited
Campus premises must be kept clean; littering invites disciplinary action

Examination Rules

Students must carry admit card and ID to every examination
Entry not permitted 30 minutes after exam commencement
Use of unfair means (chalkies, phone, copying) leads to cancellation and disciplinary action
Answer sheets must be handed over before leaving the hall
Re-evaluation requests must be submitted within 15 days of result declaration
Back exams available for students who fail; fee applicable

Library Rules

Books may be borrowed for 14 days; renewable once if no hold
Fine: ₹2 per day per book for overdue returns
Silence must be maintained at all times inside the library
Personal belongings must be deposited at the entrance
Damage to library property will be charged to the student

Hostel Rules

Curfew: 9:00 PM for all hostel residents
Guests/visitors must register at reception; not allowed in rooms
Cooking in rooms is strictly prohibited
Alcohol, tobacco and narcotics are banned on campus; violation leads to expulsion
Hostel fees must be paid before the 10th of each month

Anti-Ragging Policy

Zero-tolerance policy — AICTE and Supreme Court mandated
Ragging in any form (physical, verbal, online) is a criminal offence
Students must sign anti-ragging undertaking at admission
Complaints can be raised anonymously via the helpline: 1800-180-5522
Punishment: suspension, expulsion or criminal proceedings as per UGC regulations
